MK Beer Festival 2008 MK Beer Festival 2008 Well, all the necessary red tape has been completed – so it’s “All Systems Go” for our 2008 'Concrete Pint' beer festival.
On Thursday 30th October, at 12 noon, the Milton Keynes Beer Festival will open its doors (well, actually, the doors of The Pitz, in Woughton Campus Leisure Centre) to the public. The Pitz is a popular local music venue; its home page is at http://www.miltonkeynes.com/music/pitzhome, where you can also find useful links to local hotels and suchlike. (It's probably worth mentioning here that the Woughton Centre is in Leadenhall, not Woughton on the Green.)
The Festival will run for three days, from Thursday to Saturday. Opening times as follows:
Admission is free to CAMRA members, and is free to non-members before 5pm every day, and all day Saturday. If you are a non-member, admission on the Thursday and Friday evenings after 5pm will be £3.00.
We will be stocking about 50 different beers. We shall also have about four ciders and perries.

Catering is being organised so hot food and snacks will be available throught the festival
The Pitz is a brisk walk from the MK Central Railway Station – about 1.5 miles. Its location is well-known to MK taxi drivers, and there are regular buses.
A bus route planner can be found here. Note that different bus numbers apply at different times of the day, and later in the evening you may have a short walk to and from the venue - be sure to check out the little destination maps the route planner provides.

Are you interested in sponsoring the festival? Sponsoring a barrel for £50 gets your business a mention in the Festival Programme, and space on the end of the sponsored barrel. Individual sponsorship is welcome in any amount of £10 or over. Individual sponsors will also get a mention in the program, and will receive free admission for one non-member at the otherwise chargeable times mentioned above; or a voucher for a free pint.
